Kentucky Store Creates Space, Handles Utilities with Novum

Why Novum Wall?

Multiple walls were needed to provide space for egress, parking, and fueling, and to create level areas for utility placement. During construction, installers had to navigate a catch basin and a manhole. A gravity wall solution was required because compact site conditions prevented the use of geogrid for a mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) solution. Novum Wall was the right fit for this job because it can be installed in tighter project footprints with smaller equipment like skid-steers and is more cost-effective when the size and scale of alternative large block solutions aren’t necessary.

The wall blocks were precast by Mt. Washington, Kentucky-based producer Redi-Rock K.I.T. and feature the Ridge texture, providing the project with a natural-stone appearance and regional color palette that blends well with existing landscape and building architecture.
